What is ECKVA Network?
ECKVA Network is the latest YouTube web series/ARG from Troy Wagner, the creator and main director of Marble Hornets. It is a spin-off of Marble Hornets set in the same universe, and serves as a soft reboot of Clear Lakes 44. It follows SHawkins as they investigate a series of strange video broadcasts they discovered after cleaning out their house. The broadcasts are seemingly being broadcasted by a broadcaster that has hijacked the brand of the long dead television network ECKVA Network. After some time, the broadcasts begin to specifically target SHawkins, as it becomes clear that the Broadcaster has malicious intentions.
ECKVA Network is an alternate reality game, which is a storytelling method that requires viewer participation to receive the full story, such as decoding puzzles and accessing sources of information outside of YouTube. The broadcasts are linked to an in-game website that viewers have the opportunity to engage with and explore. There's also a twitter account, an email, and a newsletter that viewers can interact with, which all expand upon the story.
